Who We Are
Mougins School is a British international school located in the heart of Nice Sophia-Antipolis. Founded in 1964, the school offers an international education for children aged 3 to 18. Our teaching programme closely follows the English National Curriculum, following the five different key stages of learning, culminating in IGCSE and A-level examinations.
Educational stages at Mougins
Our Early Learning Centre is made up of Nursery and Reception classes, for children aged 3-5, following the Early Years Foundation Stage of the English National Curriculum.
From Form 1 onwards we follow Key Stages 1 and 2 – an engaging, challenging and thought-inspiring curriculum, allowing scope for children to achieve their full potential.
Secondary school in the British system is made up of Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The compulsory phase of secondary education culminates in the IGCSE exams. After this, students can go on to study for A-levels or BTEC qualifications.
Sixth form is an optional stage of education in the British system, also known as post-16 education. After completing the IGCSE exams, students can continue on to study for A-levels, a required qualification for entry into university.
Why Choose Mougins British International School?
OUR FOUR VALUES
The students of Mougins British International School follow the English National Curriculum, and their academic qualifications are recognised and respected by top universities across the world.
Success starts here
We believe success takes many forms. We aim to empower all of our students to discover what it will mean for them, and to achieve the highest qualifications and, above all, to make this process of learning and seeking success as a basis for a fulfilling life as enriching as possible. Understanding what success means and achieving it is a real challenge!
A life of discovery
We nurture our student’s life, through a broad and balanced curriculum that goes beyond the purely academic, building a deeper experience of the world. This encourages an environment in which each student can discover and develop their own talents - and appreciate the perspectives and gifts of others.
Fostering values and ethics
We prepare our students to face challenges successfully. A great education equips a student to face challenges confidently and manage failure with tenacity and resilience. From rigorous academic standards, to outdoors expeditions, we aim to cultivate the character of every student, through safe and managed exposure to experiences that stretch them.
A better tomorrow
We help our students to identify their unique talents. The coming decades will present extraordinary opportunities and challenges for humanity and the planet; and also for our students. Our aim is to prepare and inspire each student to contribute to a more just and sustainable world by making use of their unique talents, which are nurtured by developing the integrity, confidence and character of each person as an individual.
