Welcome Back to School!
Christine Bearman
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy New Year! We hope you all had a joyful and restful break filled with laughter, love, and perhaps a little too much chocolate! As we begin this fresh and exciting term, we are thrilled to welcome both you and your children back to school.
The start of a new term always brings a special buzz to our classrooms and campus. It’s a time for new goals, renewed enthusiasm, and the chance to build on the great progress your children have already made this academic year. As always, we are committed to supporting each child as they continue to grow, learn, and thrive.

Settling Back In

We understand that coming back to school after the holidays can be both exciting and a little daunting for some children. Over the last few days, staff have focused on helping everyone ease back into routines, reconnect with their friends, and re-establish those important learning habits.

In the next week there will be a few changes in The LaunchPad as Ms Baker begins her maternity leave. We are excited for her and wish her all the best. The new team brings a wealth of enthusiasm and expertise to The LaunchPad, ensuring a seamless transition for the children. The new team has been working closely with Ms Baker so that they can reinforce the routines and expectations that help make The LaunchPad a space where all learners feel confident and inspired. From hands-on activities to collaborative projects, the team is committed to maintaining the high standards and exciting opportunities that the children have come to enjoy. We encourage parents to introduce themselves to the new staff if they haven’t already — building strong connections between school and home is one of the ways we ensure the best experience for every child. With everyone’s support, we’re confident this will be an exciting and productive term for The LaunchPad!

What’s Coming Up This Term

We are really excited to inform you that over the next six weeks we will be trailing a new idea for our Learning Curve article. Each week will focus on ‘The Day in The Life’ of a specific year group.

This series will give you a unique insight into the activities, routines, and learning experiences your children engage in throughout the day. From the exciting lessons they explore to the friendships they build during playtime, our goal is to bring you closer to the magic that happens in our classrooms every day.
Each article will feature highlights from the week, showcasing key moments such as interactive lessons, creative projects, and perhaps even a few surprises from the children themselves! We hope this new idea will help you feel even more connected to your child’s school life and provide a deeper understanding of how we support their development across all areas of learning.

We can’t wait to share this with you so look out next week for ‘The Day in the Life of Year 1’.

How You Can Help Your Children this Term

As parents, you play a vital role in your child’s education, and we truly value the partnership between school and home. This term, you can support your child by:
  • Establishing a regular homework routine.
  • Encouraging daily reading and conversations about what they’ve learned in school.
  • Helping them get plenty of sleep and maintain a healthy diet to fuel their learning.
  • Keeping open lines of communication with us if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas.

A Fresh Start for Everyone

The New Year is a wonderful opportunity to set new goals and make positive changes. Perhaps your child is aiming to improve their handwriting, make a new friend, or try something new in class. Let’s celebrate their ambitions and cheer them on as they strive to achieve them.
We are truly excited about the term ahead and can’t wait to see what your children will accomplish. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for entrusting us with the care and education of your children. Let’s make this term a fantastic one together!
