Our choir had the incredible honour of performing at the Nelson Mandela Children’s Trust Gala, held during the Cannes Film Festival at the stunning Villa Oxygène in Super Cannes. It was an unforgettable evening filled with music, celebration, and moments our students will carry with them for years.

A producer who kindly captured the night through photos and videos, shared a message that touched us all: “The students inspire me greatly. As their destiny unfolds, great things await them.” His words reflected the admiration and warmth our performers received throughout the event

The choir delivered a joyful and confident set, with a mix of ensemble pieces, solos, and duets. Lilien and Alex, representing the older year groups, stepped into the spotlight with impressive performances that showcased their talent and maturity on stage. Their contributions added depth and variety to the programme, and the audience responded with huge enthusiasm.

A highlight of the evening was meeting Debbie Sledge, legendary member of Sister Sledge and the voice behind the iconic We Are Family. She greeted the students with genuine warmth, and the atmosphere quickly turned into a celebration, singing, dancing, and sharing the moment with stars from across the festival.

The feedback was overwhelming. Guests praised the students’ professionalism, energy, and musicality. They represented the school with pride, confidence, and joy — and it showed.

We are thrilled to share that the organisers have already invited us back to perform next year, a testament to the impact our students made on this prestigious international stage.
