Drama at Mougins School
We believe that the study of drama at school helps students to improve a wide range of areas, such as self-confidence, self-esteem, self-expression, communication, collaboration, interpersonal skills, aesthetic awareness and, last but not least, imagination!
Performing arts programme
Drama plays an important part in the School curriculum and there are theatrical evenings presented by students, associated with their examination programmes, during the course of the year.
Through our performing arts programme, our drama curriculum is enhanced with works from different cultures and periods in history. It provides our students good opportunities to lead, collaborate with others, listen to other viewpoints, communicate ideas, take risks, persevere and experience joy through performance.
Examination Centre for LAMDA
As an examination center for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), we offer our students access to the UK best known performing arts examining boards.
For a supplementary cost, students can take part in the LAMDA exams. Many of our students have achieved high grades in these exams.
For those preparing for university it is an especially beneficial activity as UCAS points are awarded for earning LAMDA qualifications. Along with preparing for the exams we make sure that drama lessons are fun and enriching for all, and put on regular drama performances for parents and students to attend.
