Fausto Maccario began studying Classical Percussion at age 6 and Jazz Drum Set at age 14 at the Jazz Conservatory in Monaco. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music in 2013, where he studied with renowned drummers like Kenwood Dennard, Tony “Thunder” Smith, and Neal Smith. His work spans from scoring short films showcased at the Cannes Film Festival to arranging and directing Big Bands and Orchestras in recording studios. He also produces music for independent and major artists in France, the United States, and Denmark.

As an educator, Fausto emphasizes technique and helps students develop their unique drumset vocabulary. He also focuses on teaching students the drummer's role in live and studio settings, preparing them for professional careers in the music industry.

“I like to constantly challenge my students and pull the best out of them. To me it is essential that every musician understands the vocabulary and the history of the music one listens to. I expect musicians to acknowledge and carry the tradition they conform to while gaining enough maturity in their learning process to find their own way of expression. Being a great drummer is one thing, but being able to deeply understand the music, the historical context, as well as the music industry is what makes the difference in the professional world.”
