- Primary Matters
As parents, the decision to choose the right school for your child is monumental. At Mougins British School, we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life. Our Launchpad programme is designed to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters creativity, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
A Tailored Learning Experience
Our Launchpad, which includes Nursery age children (ages 3-4) and Reception age children (ages 4-5), adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for Learning (EYFS).
We emphasise learning through play, exploration, and critical thinking, both indoors and outdoors. Our dedicated educators carefully observe and support each child's individual development, ensuring that their learning experiences are both engaging and effective.
When ready, children engage in more structured, teacher-led activities, including reading books and participating in formal maths and literacy sessions that prepare them for a seamless transition to Year 1. The older children also join in on assemblies and sports day, which further enhances their sense of belonging within the school community.
Pastoral Care at Its Best
We pride ourselves on exceptional pastoral care. Caring staff who understand their emotional needs, help them feel secure and valued. Our gentle transition process ensures that children quickly adapt to school life, while our friendly community promotes friendship and support, so no child feels alone.
Health and Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our students is paramount. Our Health and Wellbeing Officer, Alison Vibert, is always available to address any health concerns, ensuring your child feels safe and cared for throughout the school day. We provide locally-sourced, organic hot meals cooked on-site, encouraging social interaction during mealtimes
Engaging Activities and Events
At Mougins International School, we believe that learning should be joyful! Our blended approach to learning includes engaging activities such as role-play, practical games, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures. We utilise our online learning journal, Tapestry, to share each child’s achievements and development with parents, creating a collaborative environment that values family involvement.
Embracing Diversity
We celebrate diversity at Mougins School. Our inclusive environment welcomes children from various backgrounds and aadditionally, children in our early years begin learning French in a relaxed, immersion-style environment through free play and games, helping them grow in confidence with the language.
A Strong Foundation for the Future
Choosing Mougins School for your child's early education means giving them a strong start in a supportive and enriching environment. We are committed to nurturing each child's potential through hands-on experimentation and critical thinking, helping them develop the social skills needed for future learning. At Mougins School, we believe that every child is born ready, able, and eager to learn, and we are excited to support them on this magical journey.
