- Secondary Matters
This term in LifeMatters, students turn to the experts! On Tuesdays from 3-4pm, sixth form students benefit from hearing the stories and careers advice of experts in their fields.
The term has started with a tech focus. We were joined by Mr Azad Lusbaronian, Director of Development at ISARTDigital, who educated us on the art of games animation and informed us of the university degree programmes that are open to students at the campus in Nice.
Next, students enjoyed a visit from Mr Sebastien Corniglion from the Data ScienceTech Institute, whose expert presentation highlighted careers in software engineering and introduced us to the Applied Bachelor and MSc programmes available at the campus in Sophia Antipolis.
This week we held a lively and informative Q&A session with Mr Malin Stefanescu of EEU Software on entrepreneurship in the field of technology.
Raphaël in Year 12 said that, "it has been a great privilege to hear from the professionals who have spoken at our ExpertMatters lecture series. They have given us valuable insight into and advice on the world of tech and entrepreneurship. Others and I have benefited from hearing about their careers - the information and advice was applicable even outside their specific sectors - and now we eagerly await the next experts: on law, journalism, and more."
LifeMatters is a crucial part of preparing our students for higher education and life beyond Mougins School. By showcasing diverse career paths, we inspire, inform, and equip our sixth formers with knowledge and skills essential for their future. The programme continues to unfold, with upcoming sessions featuring professionals from the fields of media and law in March.
