Our school’s boys and girls football teams from year 7 to year 9 participated in the Mediterranean Cup in Verona, Italy from the 27th to the 30th April. Both our boys and girls teams showcased their incredible talent and teamwork, representing our school with distinction and earning awards that speak to their excellence.
During the first day of the tournament, students competed to be placed into categories that corresponded to their level. The boys were placed in the Club Cup and the girls were placed in the Europa Cup. After a tough competition, the boys achieved a commendable 3rd place in the Club Cup. Their success is a result of their commitment and perseverance. The girls emerged as champions in the Europa Cup, displaying extraordinary teamwork and skill throughout the tournament.
We would like to give a special mention to two of our outstanding players, Nelly Paulick, who won the Best Scorer award in the Europa Cup, and Daris Chicco, who was awarded both the Best Scorer and the Best Player awards in the Club Cup. Their hard work and talent are a true inspiration to us all.
However, what truly stood out in this tournament was the values of teamwork and attitude demonstrated by our students. These values are at the core of our school and it is great to see our students being amazing examples of them. We commend our students’ dedication, hard work and sportsmanship on and off the field, and congratulate them on a remarkable cup that will be remembered for the years to come.
