Hi everyone, I'm Ella, the Sixth Form Prefect lead for Student Wellbeing!
I am really excited to announce that myself, with the help of the Senior Prefect Team, have a new mentoring program here at Mougins British International School.
TBH Mentoring (to be honest…) is a great way for your child to face the challenges of growing up through guidance and support from Form 12 and Form 13 students. The mentors are all so eager to get to know and help our younger students.
Our TBH student mentors are receiving training from the Child Protection team at school, too, so will know how to be sensitive and supportive of delicate issues. We're all working closely with the Senior Leadership of the Secondary School and are keen to connect to those younger students in our community who would benefit from an older student mentor.
Mentoring with our TBH scheme is a personalized experience, and will be tailored to every mentee to help them in the best way possible. The meet-ups between mentors and mentees will happen on a weekly basis, however many times is helpful.
The mentors will come to collect their mentees after their classes, so that during break-time, lunch or after school the two can walk around campus, sit on a bench or find an empty room to have an open discussion.
I would like to encourage you to have a talk to your children about what mentoring is and how it can be beneficial.
If TBH mentoring is something that your child would like to be a part of, please send them this link to sign up HERE
I hope to meet many of the younger students of MBIS soon.
