The Learning Curve

Year 5 Students visit Parc Phoenix
Jim Farrell

Year 5 students had an opportunity to visit the Parc Phoenix to learn more about their classroom science topics of plant and animal life cycles in the real world. We love to see the smiles on the faces of the children and the hands-on experience attained as they return to fulfilling activities through school trips.

On Wednesday, 8th June, Year 5 students had an opportunity to visit the Parc Phoenix to learn more about their classroom science topics of plant and animal life cycles in the real world. We love to see the smiles on the faces of the children and the hands-on experience attained as they return to fulfilling activities through school trips.

The children studied the animals during their visit, learning all about the similarities and differences in the life cycles of a variety of mammals, birds and reptiles. The children recorded their findings carefully in their booklets and drew labelled diagrams of some of the beautiful flowering plants that are all around the gardens.

Credit was given to the children and to the school for their outstanding behaviour while visiting Parc Phoenix. Judging by all the smiling faces and the happy sounds, the students enjoyed their educational visit to learn more about animal and plant life cycles.

Big thanks go to the three parents who spent the whole day with us and to Christophe!
